I've watched this family grow.

I've watched them grow from two to three.

I've watched them move through maternity into having a toddler.

WHY CHOOSE ME?

I've seen these two go through the anticipation and excitement of preparing to welcome their little one into the world. I saw their daughter's sweet brand new fingers reach in the direction of her momma's all too familiar voice. I saw them work their magic at teaching her how to eat solid foods and helping her build her skills to learn to walk. I heard her first words and her belly busting laughs. I've seen trials and tribulations, exhaustion and frustration; I've seen parenting. I've seen real, raw, and candid. I watched her go from an infant to an independent toddler - so smart, so happy, so curious, so beautiful, so full of life - I watched her become the perfect mash up of her parents mixed with more than a splash of her own perfect personality.

and I got to see her parents beam with pride every time she moved a muscle. I watched their hearts explode and their happiness infinitely quadruple over and over again.

And I had the privilege of seeing all of this because this family chose me, they trusted me, to be there with them as it all unfolded.

This little angel is turning TWO very soon, and I can't help but to be so nostalgic over the big event. I'm so thankful to have seen her grow, and to have watched her parents become exactly who she needs them to be.

Every once in a while I have the extreme honor of following the journey of a family throughout an extended period of time, watching them grow, listening to their laughs, and feeling their happy.

and during all of this time, I get to watch them tell their story, and help them capture it along the way.

And every once in a while I get to be more than just the person with the camera in the behind the scene shots. Sometimes, I get to be an extended part of the family.

There is nothing I love more about this job than to see the expressions on their faces as my clients open their orders and see that these moments, these fleeting particles of time, have been frozen for them to fawn over until time itself disintegrates.

But it makes my heart turn to goo when someone tells they are so thankful our paths crossed and it was me they found to help them create those moments to capture in the first place.
